Within the UK, all medical device companies must follow the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) guidelines. The MHRA guidelines specify that a UK Responsible Person (UKRP) must be appointed and must register the manufacturer, any relevant importers, and the devices with the MHRA.
